Program Details
Worry and stress in youth can lead to feelings of sadness, anger, and anxiety, significantly impacting their well-being. These emotions often stem from academic pressures, social challenges, and personal insecurities, making it difficult for them to cope effectively. When stress levels are high, it can disrupt their daily lives, affecting their mood, behavior, and overall mental health. Addressing these issues through supportive interventions and teaching healthy coping mechanisms is crucial for helping youth manage their stress and maintain a positive outlook.
This program is designed to help individuals with anger, sadness, anxiety, or any combination of feelings.
The activities in this program will focus on:
Thoughts vs. Feelings vs. Actions
Relaxation Skills
Thoughts, Feelings, Actions Cycle
Actions and Consequences
Helpful vs. Unhelpful Thoughts
Review and reflect with “Go Think!”
Recognizing challenging thoughts, coping skills, and problem-solving
Learning to address multiple emotions will help individuals regulate their feelings. Individuals will learn to cope through relaxation, problem-solving, and cognitive restructuring.
