Program Details
Conflict Resolution and Emotional Learning are aimed at teaching young people how to handle disagreements and understand their emotions. It helps them develop skills to resolve conflicts peacefully, reduce behavioral problems, and build stronger, more positive relationships with their peers. Conflict Resolution and Emotional Learning also focus on enhancing emotional intelligence, allowing youth to better understand and manage their own emotions and empathize with others.
The following list of activities will be performed as part of Conflict Resolution and Emotional Learning which will focus on developing conflict resolution skills.
Modeling and practicing I-messages
“What to do if….?” conflict situation practice
Delivering genuine apologies
Conflict Escalator (choices that make conflict escalate vs. de-escalate)
Types of Conflict (disagreement vs. rude moment vs. mean moment vs. bullying)
To Be an Upstander
Center of Control
By integrating these components into a structured treatment plan, individuals can reduce behavioral issues and make stronger friendships.
