Program Details
Identity, diversity, and social justice education for youth are essential in helping them explore their own identities while understanding and respecting those of others. This program encourages young people to reflect on their backgrounds, beliefs, and values, fostering a strong sense of self-awareness. Simultaneously, it educates them about the diverse cultures, identities, and experiences that make up our society, promoting empathy and inclusion. By understanding social justice principles, youth learn to recognize and challenge inequalities, becoming advocates for fairness and equity.

This program's activities will focus on developing social justice skills through understanding identity, diversity, and injustice:

IDENTITY: Understanding the different identities and exploring our own

DIVERSITY & DIFFERENCES: understanding commonalities, value differences, and diversity
​​
STEREOTYPES: Understanding stereotypes, discussing common stereotypes, recognizing stereotypes don’t define us
​​
IDENTIFYING INJUSTICES: Understanding injustices and how it is harmful
​​
TAKING ACTION: What to say when someone makes a hurtful comment, being an upstander
​
This holistic approach empowers youth to navigate a diverse world with confidence, respect, and a commitment to creating a more just society.
